The 2021 Dominica Sisserou Parrot 1 oz Silver Coin is one of the 2021 EC8 releases. The EC8 series consists of annual releases for each of the eight members of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. The Sisserou parrot (also known as Imperial Amazon parrot or Dominican Amazon) is the national bird of the state and only exists on the island of Dominica.

The Sisserou parrot is the national bird of Dominica and is currently a highly endangered species. It is estimated that there are currently less than 50 birds left in the wild.
